I was wondering if anyone got their target weight from Cohen and felt it was extremely low. My consultant did say when I signed up that I know my body best so I could say if I wanted a slightly higher target weight. I'm 5'1" and they initially told me 98lbs. I replied and said 104lbs seemed more reasonable but I've looked at a few online weight calculators that include my frame (you measure by wrapping your thumb and second finger around the smallest part of your wrist) and they tell me 112 - 123.2 lbs. Advice please! Should I asked to increase my target weight? Has anyone noticed something similar?tar

I felt mine was a bit low but I think I felt that way simply because I have so much to lose I am 5'5 and they set my target at 121 (my starting weight was 214). My personal target was 135. I didnt tell them to change it because I figure I will know when I am at the point I want to be at and if I hit 135 and decide to keep going I will if I hit it and decide to stop I will talk to my consultant. The consultant is right you know your body best so you make the final decision. You may want to just leave your original for now and as you get closer to the 112-120 range decide if that is where you feel you should be stopping and if not keep going and if so talk it over with your consultant and see what you need to do. I think you will know when you have the body and weight you want!! Just trust your instincts!!

Thanks Holly! I think I felt that way at the start because I too had a lot to lose. I started at 191 and they were suggesting I lose 93lbs!! I'm going to consult my doctor and see what he thinks. I don't remember the last time I weighed anything less than 150 so I'm just going to see how I feel as I get closer. I definitely don't want to be just skin and bones and I was very active before I started Cohen so I hope I still have some of that muscle!

This is the calculator I used online in case you are curious :)
