Team-
Allright, moderators are going to yell at me... but anyone who's done their "gererations" study, will know im a youngin and part of Generation Y... the "Instant Gratification" age.
SO... I weighed myself 1 week in.
12.5 LBs lost after todays workout, so I guess if I can keep that up I will be able to hit -50 pounds in 1 month.....
Man thats gotta be some kinda record, no? Lets see if thats possible shall we?! hahahahaha HOO-RAH!
Note to the wise - VITAMINS!!! DO IT! DO IT NOW!
With the hard workouts there was one day this week I missed my daily vitamin regime... next day I was weary, sore, lightheaded, and just plain pooped.
Seems this is whats keeping my energy afloat, and BARELY above water... Its working, I can feel it...
Keep it up out there!!!

{hi} there Mr Hawk
On a nice note: First things first: {congrats} on having lost 12.5 LBs in only one week! (Ladies :bighug: to all of us, we won't go green!)
On a not so nice note: you've just fallen into the typical trap and one of the reasons I believe WHY Dr Cohen says not to weigh more than once a month... watch your thinking:
12.5 LBs lost after todays workout, so I guess if I can keep that up I will be able to hit -50 pounds in 1 month...
Typically that is where the problem comes in - great progress in the first week or two can lead Dieters to believe this extremely rapid pace will continue all the way... but that is probably not going to be the case, not for most Dieters in any case.
The Great Expectation could lead to great disappointment if your body doesn't manage to do what you want and then despite doing very well, you could end up feeling disappointed for no reason other than having too high a target. Most people would be on a high expecting to loose 20 pounds in their first month... 30 would be considered fantastic... but you are aiming for 50... ??
I'm not putting a wammy on you, but if you're normal, your body will drop and then go through a plateau, during which time you will stand still on the scale and then your weight will drop again after the plateau.
I would like to draw your attention to your New Customer Guide, pages 10 and 11 where Dr Cohen suggests the following points:
Only weigh once a month, and note the difference in clothes size.
The body does go through stages during the weight loss where is might seem as if you are not losing actual weight (on the scale), but note the drop in clothes size!
Remember that you are still breaking down fat during these “plateau” periods, but the growth hormone is dissolving the fat in the water so you will weigh water when you get on the scale, and you’ll notice that you are not running to the rest room as often in this period!
If you weigh only once a month, you will focus on the total loss for the month, and the small plateaus in between will not de-motivate you!!!!!
In the light of the above, and as you are clearly going to weigh again, don't be surprised or disappointed or think that the program is no longer working for you if you stand still or loose slower weight at any time. The program works, just not INSTANTLY!!!
Once again, {goodjob}!!!

Wow JadeHawk! Congrats on your weight loss so far - I know you have been working really hard and so am glad to see it paid off! Please do listen to Shasha's advice, though, and just don't be disappointed if it does slow down a bit. Maybe it won't - I'm not trying to be a nay-sayer. Either way, at the rate you're going, how hard you're working, and the fact that you are male, you are going to do very, very well on this diet as you have already proven. Stay strong!!!

Keep it going! One week weigh is not following the guidelines, but sometimes that maybe all we need to keep feeling positive, as long as if you weigh again it the scale hasn't budged much that you don't become discouraged. Congratulations! WOW!!!
