Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie, just finished my first seven days!
This diet is my 40th b-day present to myself, since I've been struggling with my weight for 10 years now, and it was getting worse after every "diet" attempt. I thought it was going to be insanely hard when I saw the food portions, and worried about headaches, etc... the first few days, but I've been feeling just fine. And pretty hungry, although it seems less so this last couple of days.
For me the blood test was absolutely the most horrible part of this because I am absolutely terrified and phobic of needles. I hyperventilated and cried at the lab, and was mortified for the poor lab tech. And although I'm absolutely dreading the coming blood tests, I think this will get better & easier. Strangely enough, it's turning out to be quite a motivator in terms of sticking to the diet and not cheating. The blood test is keeping me serious & honest, and in that way it's terrific!
I'm still astonished at the small food portions, but more like, OMG can't believe the volume of food I used to eat, even when I thought I was being "healthy"!!
I'm also pretty sure I messed up my crackers the first few days I bought a few different brands like WASA and believe I was going over the allowance. Now I've switched to plain rice crackers and multigrain saltines.
Good luck to all the other newbies out there!
xoxo,
Jaqui
