OKAY...here I go! I started the beginning of June...but really played with my commitment level, which is interesting in itself to cheat on yourself! What the heck is that about:thinking::thinking::
So, after reading a BUNCH of BLOGS and looking myself in the mirror I decided to COMMIT around June 14th...I weighed in yesterday and way THRILLED with 11 pounds:drool: I could not believe it. The inches are dropping and I am able to shop in my closet for all of those clothes that use to not fit! and now they do:)
I can't wait until they are too big also and I'll be down in the sizes I have dreamed about for the last 12 years!
I'll update my tickler as soon as I can figure that out.
Thanks to all of you for your honesty and sharing.
Yipeee...next 4 weeks here I come!

Way to go!!! I went shopping in my closet the other day and did a little happy dance, hahaha! It really does feel great, doesn't it? I'm really glad that you've committed fully to this and that you're seeing such positive results. Keep it up!

Thanks Cynthia....
It was a combination of things and then your post saying "why are you doing that" or "what is that about" that made me turn around...THANKS!
Curry Chicken, w sauted mushrooms and onions tonight!
I haven't been in the 150's for at least 7 years! Maybe this month I will blow right through them :)
Thanks for your support

WELLLLLLL.... I made it through the full week of extremely social functions! We had parties EVERYNIGHT this week. I am so happy they are over...and ready to go stock up at the farmers market and plan out my meals for the week. So here is the update....
The things that went well were drinking soda with lime most of the time and saying NO to most of the served appetizers...and fitting into several outfits that were in my closet that I hadn't fit into for over 5 years! My husband commented a few times with...you look nice...was shopping in the cards this week? He was thrilled that I just shopped in my closet!
I was able to stay on plan for breakfast and lunch....but then....
I do have to admit I had a few vodka and sodas and some of the "wrong" food...BUT did not go completely overboard, which is what I use to do and the reason I have over 30 pounds to shed!
So now I have to face the music...again with getting back on the dc the 1st 4 days...which makes me very moody....
I have mixed feelings writing this blog between guilt for my diversion, but knowing my past felt great about my control....so there in lies a small victory for Monkeyface :)...glad I have a few more weeks before I hit the scale again:(

Wow, I'm not sure how I would handle having a party EVERY night! In my opinion, I think you did great!

Have had a much better week....planned everything and really tried to pay attention to spacing my meals 5 hours apart...that has really been good....water, diet coke and apples are my friends.
SHHHHHH....don't say it too loud as I don't want to pull off the reigns again...but I felt a hip bone the other day! :) :)
Going four days at a time...trying to be consistent...the thought of the scale in a few weeks is scary and exciting!
Thanks for posting your journeys...they help me every day.

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
Wow! What a ride the last month and 1/2 has been! Too much to write about today...needless to say I have been off program...BUT maintaining healthly habits and i have only gained 2 pounds...
My experiences can be summed up by feeling great in a new body, but not feeling that I reached my goal...just back into the clothes in my closet (all the while knowing that this was a plateau that I had chosen) I know not the cohen way...but the monkey face way that was just going to have to be given everything that was going on.
Now....I am back! have signed up for another 12 weeks, just finished my blood test and feel great!
Time to get off this plateau........a bit scared, must plan planplan....and drink my water.
Wish me luck :)
I do have to say I really missed chatting with all of my CP friends...sorry I was so out of touch...(literally out of cell and internet for 45 days)
I have lots of reading to do and can't wait to hear about your progress!

Good Morning....I am so excited that it is the weekend...and I don't have too many to do's on my schedule, both kids got buys on soccer this weekend. So my plan is to PLAN MY FOOD! Shop, Chop and prepare advance meals and portions. I got the 1st 15 off by doing this and so now I want to take on the next 15!!!!!!!!
anybody else make 1 minute eggs? Whip up an egg, add to your portion sauted veggies...microwave for 1 minute and presto...a meal. I made 12 of these this summer and froze them and used them as a fast breakfast, then tuna from Trader Joes mixed with my portions of onion, cucumber and celery.....dinners are where I fail to plan enough ahead....any ideas?
I am still cooking for a crowd so the evenings are where I fall off the wagon...bites, licks and tastes are brutal!
So this weekend I going to plan this entire week ahead and this time next week hopefully I'll be reporting good news!

My diet is kept pretty simple. I've been told that I should keep mixing things up to prevent slipping due to boredom but I have found that these are my favorite things so I just mix up the way I make them and that gives me the variety I need. I do chicken and zucchini almost every day for meal 3, shrimp and spaghetti squash for meal 2, and good ol yogurt with cinnamon/equal and apple for breakfast. I would do the egg more often but I feel so unsatisfied when I'm done eating only one medium egg.
One week I broil, one week I BBQ, one week I bake, one week I cook it in a pan, I keep mixing it up along with the spices, and it's been good thus far. I always look forward to meal 3, I really love the chicken/zucchini. The only thing I really need to do is go get more steak, I miss my red meat right now, just get tired of all the trimming/weighing/bagging, enjoy the simplicity with shrimp. I wish I was allowed to have chicken more than just once a day but ooooo well.

Hey Jheiner,
That sounds like a good plan. Do you use frozen shrimp or cooked?.............I had a good day today...one day at a time! right :)

I use frozen shrimp that are cooked and have the tails/shells removed. I don't know if it is different for every person or what but for the first month i was eating the shrimp, I was cutting my portion in half because I read online that w/o shell/tail that 1/2 lb was equal to one lb with tails/shell. So i'm allowed 130g of fish, I was having 65g of shrimp w/every meal, then found out I had been "deviating" when I got my second blood test. My consultant corrected me and explained that I should be thawing/draining the water from my shrimp and weighing out a full portion, so thats what I'm doing now.
2 days till the 8 week mark, can't wait to weigh/measure and see how i'm doin.

Yup that is what I do also. I was buying the big fat shrimp at Costco, but now just enjoy the convience of the Trader Joe frozen shrimp...I usually toss with grilled onion and spinach. That is my staple.
So how people doing every day? Do you make your meals ahead of time? Ever think about deviating? What kkeps you focused?
I had a good week this last week. It really is amazing to feel yourself shrinking and feeling great. Just made a weeks worth of meal this morning do I can set myself up for the most success. 1 week down back on plan....1 more week to keep with it...then another and another. Hope to be done by Thanksgiving!
Have a great week folks :)

Sounds like your doing great monkeyface. I hope you finish by Thanksgiving too. That would be uber exciting.
I don't make my meals ahead of time but I do portion out the meat and such. I'm not a very inventive person and the less cooking I have to do the better so I minimize my vegetable intake to 2 different vegetables that are easy to prepare. Zucchini/summer squash and celery for my tuna mix.
Another think I just learned from my consultant is that we're allowed to use 1 tsp. of Miracle Whip, if that'll add more of a zing to any of your meals instead of low-fat mayo.
