Today I begin 1PD. I have been looking forward to this day for the last 3 weeks. I can't wait to be done losing all the fat....I started working on it in March 2009. I started with 24 hour fitness and trying to eat balanced meals and lost 60 pounds in 16 months. I ran into an old friend 3 weeks ago at 24 hour and she looked amazing. She told me about Dr. Cohen's plan. I checked it out that day and started the registration process. I need to lose 62 more pounds to be at the 126 they set as my goal. I don't have a clue when I ever weighed that little before. Had to be High School or maybe even Junior High School. I have had in my mind the 150 would be awesome. So that is a little scarry.....but we will see what happens.

My husband and I are heading camping for a week on Monday. Going to pre-measure all my meals to pack along. Should be pretty easy next week....not having access to a refrigerator or grocery story. I am excited to get home and weigh myself to see what the results of 6 days are.

Talk to you all soon.

Hey Nancy, welcome!

I'm pretty new here too.... going to do my 4 week weigh in on Monday! I've been peaking at the scale quite a bit (shhhhh, don't tell on me!) and I can absolutely tell you that this diet is AMAZING! My family and I went camping last weekend and I prepacked all of my stuff to, and it worked great. Good luck to you!

Hi Nancy, you've done brilliantly having already lost 60 pounds. I need to loose 120 pounds. Only started programme 2 days ago and trying hard to keep myself motivated so that I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. 120 pounds just seems sooooo much to get through before I see any light but I'm going to stay strong. Let me know how you get on with your 1st month.

Indeed, 120 pounds seems a daunting task, but I am here to tell you, it can be done and this diet makes it happen. Stay dedicated and it will be off before you know it! Come here often for support, it really does help.
