Okay, I'm on day 5, and I admit, today was easier than yesterday, but cooking for my family..... How do I cook for them and my own food without wanting to just sit and eat what they're eating. I mean, mine was good today, fried chicken with onions and mushrooms, and a little salt and pepper, but they got chili and spaghetti. If I left it up to my husband, they would get pancakes 4 days out of 7 and mac and cheese for the rest. So, obviously I want them to eat healthier than that, but it's hard. Especially because we make a point of sitting and eating as a family. Any suggestions?

I don't really have any answers for you? For my entire diet I cooked my husband and 3 children their dinner and then I made mine. I just did it. It was hard and sometimes very frustrating...but I just did it. One thing I did do was try to over-cook so there were always leftovers and then I didn't have to cook them as many "fresh" meals a week.
The numbers going down on the scale were my motivator!

Thanks mammabear. I did exactly that yesterday....overcooked, and their meals today were all left overs, and that made it so much easier. I also started my day later today too, so they were all done eating and busy doing something else and then I ate. That seemed to work...at least when it's just me and the kids.
