Gail's First Month Progress

Well today was the day for my 4 week weigh in. I was so nervous getting on that scale! My husband and kids were all hovering around me this morning for the big moment. I lost 19 lbs!!! I was crying, my husband was crying, my kids all gave me way to go mom and hugs. This is the smallest I can ever remember being since Elementary School.

I told my husband this morning it just doesn't seem real to me yet. I keep thinking one of these days I'm going to wake up from this dream. I'm so proud of myself!!

For the first time in my life I was called skinny minnie, that's a huge difference to my childhood nickname," Gail the Whale".

I just wish I would have known about the program sooner!!!

I ready for next month!!

Thanks Everyone!! I have to admit reading all your replies brought tears to my eyes!
I've never had so much support!! You girls are the greatest!!

For my reward I went to the mall with my husband and oldest son. I bought a new pair of jeans and we watched a movie. The Back Up Plan with Jennifer Lopez it was hilarious! I was so proud of myself, I didn't even have one drink of soda or one piece of popcorn!!! During the movie I leaned over and said to my husband, I want to look like Lopez. He said baby your almost there and if it makes any difference you are already hot to me!! Just topped off my night, until they had to stop the movie due to Tornado Warnings. Oh well, life is full of obstacles!

Does anyone know what the average loss of the second month is? Just curious.

Sounds like an eventful evening. Living out in Southern California I think I have grown accustomed to the earthquakes; I would have freaked out if I heard a tornado warning :). Clothes shopping is tons of fun! It makes me wish I were a millionaire because I can actually start buying the cute clothes. Yikes! Let me see, my first month I lost 20 lbs; for the second month I lost 10 and was pretty consistent with 10 until last month when I lost 5. It's probably because I am getting closer to my goal and I am sure those last lbs will probably be a little harder to lose. Hope that helps.

Your husband sounds like a great cheerleader (ha ha) and new jeans are the BEST!!!!

From what I have been reading second month weight loss is around 10lbs, but you only have 16lbs left to go. I don't know if that will change things. You are so close to your finish line. In a month you can order refeed!!!

You are doing awesome and have a wonderful support system!!! My avg. weight loss after the first month was about 10lbs.

There is no better feeling than buying new clothes!! I am addicted to shopping!
