I am in love with Gardening and I am hoping I am not the only one. I have purchased my seeds and as soon as the weather co-operates I will till the soil. This year I am extra excited because I can grow extra Cohen allowed veggies and save myself a bundle of money, and of course home grown tastes better too.
I would love to know some of your gardening plans. And if you have never tried it you should start now.

Hi Kitty!
I love gardening too. My garden has been in for about 2 months already. I live in Arizona and we are getting into the upper 80's/ low 90's already, so we are pretty much past planting. I am excited about most of my garden, but some of it I can't eat. I am growing corn, peppers and watermelon, which I won't be able to eat. But I have tomatoes, onions, zucchini, yellow crookneck squash, cucumbers, cantaloupe and lettuce which I can eat. I love home grown veggies! I also have peach, orange and apple trees, but they are still small so I am not sure if I will get much fruit this year.

Gayle,
I am so jealous! I live in Alberta, Canada and we don't start until may at least. Your garden sounds really beautiful. I have apple trees, cherry trees and haskap, but they are all pretty small. Not many fruits grow where I live so it seems extra fun that you have peach and orange trees. I am trying to find some Hazelnuts but they are hard to find this year. Have you tried Spaghetti squash? I had a bumper crop the year before last.
Do you live in a city or in the country?

Wow Canada! We have completely different weather. It sounds beautiful though. You can probably grow some things that I can't.
I live in the city. I have a pretty small yard but I am trying to do my best with it. I have six fruit trees that I just planted a year ago so they are all pretty small still. There are peaches and plums growing right now so I am hoping to get some this year. The biggest problem is keeping the birds from eating them.
I am lucky with the weather here. You can pretty much plant all year. The summer is hard to keep things from burning up in the sun. I just need to get shade covers over my grow boxes and it should be okay. I haven't tried spaghetti squash yet, but zucchini grows really well. My freezer is still full from all of it I got last year, which is good because now I eat it with almost every meal!

I am in the country and my garden plot is 75'x120 so it is pretty big. I like to be able to rototill easily so I left myself lots of space. Spring has just begun here and I have started some seeds inside. I am excited to plant and this is probably the first year that I will plant extra zucchini. I think I am going to eat a lot of them too. Have a good week. Jamie
