OK...I can't believe I'm actually posting this hideous picture, but this is my official "before" picture. I didn't realize my back end was so huge! To be fair, I am wearing a pair of pants that was one size too big to begin with, so I think they make my legs look really wide. I can't believe I thought this outfit looked half-way decent.

This was taken on March 24, Day 6 of the plan.

I'll post more pics as the weeks roll on.

I am assuming your are a petite? Wearing anything that cuts you off at that length will make you look shorter/wider. If you're going to wear that length, possibly look for a closer cut, or with wide leg pants, make sure they are at least to your ankle. Try for a shoe without a pointed toe, maybe a peep toe/rounded toe.

And you're not hideous ;P

You are brave to post. I am done and am still struggling to post pictures!!! UGH! It is good to see where you start and where you end. You will be amazed at the progress!

Yeah, Mommabear...I can't believe I actually posted it. But I figured: Hey, people see me walking around like this every day...it's not a big shocker, really, to anyone but me! Besides, once I get to goal, I'll be disappointed I didn't have a before picture to share. And yes, I am a petite, but never really gave much thought to how my pants were cut. Thank you, apachejenn...I feel like I have my own personal Tim Gunn! :)

Hahaha! I had posted in the blog section about clothes too, if you want to check it out. I can't tell from a side shot but I'd guess you were a pear. I always say it's not your body that's wrong, it's the garment.

Keeping pictures and showing people helps you get through body dimorphism, or when you look in the mirror and still see a fat person despite losing weight, or looking in the mirror at a size 20 and thinking you're a size 10. People have a perceived notion of what they look like, and it really does take progress pictures to help snap yourself out of it. I mean, when I look in the mirror, I still see me. But I looked at a pic of myself at 145 and I'm like...holy crap! There's a total difference but I would have never seen that if I had not taken a picture. When you show others it helps reiterate that change, and it also helps your self esteem when you have confirmation of what you think you saw. ;)
