Here, Here! I must say that I completely agree with you. Even though Weight Watchers worked for a little bit; the results are definitely not the same. In the nearly three months that I have been on this diet I have nearly doubled the loss I had when I tried Weight Watchers.

i just want to air this out...

my challenge lately is my work schedule. you see, i work graveyards (8p-5a) during weekdays. on weekends i try my best to lead a "normal" day life to spend quality time with my family. and so that's where my challenge comes in - when i transition from night to day and vice versa. yesterday was a sunday, so i ate during daytime, but today, a monday, knowing that i will be up until tuesday morning, i sort of have to budget my meal allowances for a longer stretch. oh well... tough times.

Oh m01e, I feel for you. I used to work the weekend warrior shift and its tough. I would eat to stay awake. Have you asked your counselor for any advice, maybe there are others out there that are in the same situation!!

Life is never easy is it!! Your doing a great job!! I'm so proud of you. Keep it up!!

thanks, gail. yeah i pointed out that i work night shifts and the response i got was as long as i keep a minimum of 5 hours between meals, i should be fine. i was also advised to take the lighter meal (meal 1) last and at least 30 mins before i go to sleep...

i would like to up my centrum intake but i am concerned with the iron dosage. 1 tablet already gives me 100% of the recommended daily allowance, and i know that iron overdosage is kinda not good...

If you stagger the multivitamin you should be okay. A lot of what you consume with a multivitamin doesn't get absorbed. Generally we should get all our vitamins from our food/environment, but most people don't. Multivitamins are designed to help us fill in the gaps, but a lot of what we swallow gets destroyed/washed out/doesn't adhere. I take two centrum chewables a day and I haven't died yet ;P

You could probably use your fruit and crackers for staving off the gap you're battling with.

m01e, I can't wait to hear how well you did!!! I'm weighing in tomorrow (although I have been weighing in weekly, so it won't be much of a surprise). I got the paperwork for my blood test, so I will probably try to do that tomorrow.

Keeping fingers crossed that you have a great weigh-in! Good luck!

:party1: alright here we go... i wanted to put off my weigh in because it's my totm so i wanted to get that out of the way first (i dint wanna be bogged down by less pounds lost due to being bloated and retaining extra amount of water cuz of my totm) - but i got an email from the consultants checking on how i am doing so i said what the heck, whatever water i am retaining right now will just register as additional weight loss in my next weigh in...

so here it is, totm and all, i now weigh - drumroll please - 152 lbs!!!! i lost 18 lbs! :party1: i'm so happy! i already requested for my repeat blood test referral (they say allow 24 hours processing). i am now down from size 14 to size 10. good times!

i have a question: is my blood gonna be tested for the same components as the first one? it might come off as a stupid question but i'm just curious and excited at the same time. i just wanna prepare like if i need to fast or something...

thanks guys you all have been wonderful in providing support. i can't wait until the time comes when the remaining 47 lbs would join the first 18 behind me as memory!

Congratulations! 18 pounds, you are doing an amazing job. I know what you mean about that TOM. When I saw the results for the second blood tests I noticed that it was not as extensive as the first. I think they may test a couple of the same things, but it really seemed like a different test altogether. To be honest I did not see much of a difference between the first and second (at least from what I could tell), but my consultant said that Dr. Cohen was satisfied with my progress and to continue on my program.

I asked the consultant why a lot of things are missing, and they said that they are just checking to make sure your kidneys are ok. O.o

Cool, thanks for the information Jenn! I was curious as to what they were looking for also. I finally went to take my follow-up blood work today .. oops 2 weeks later :(. Kind of annoyed though, because for the first time ever, I got a bruise from the blood draw. Oh well.
