the REGRET! I went three weeks cheat free, and then this last weekend I ate McDonalds for lunch and a piece of pizza, some breadsticks and a brownie for dessert. Then the next day I ate a piece of pizza and a brownie.

Im SO SCARED THAT I GAINED. I had lost 6lbs which is alot for me. I dont know what I'm going to do if I gained. I am back on track and I dont care if I dont lose this week, but Im scared that I gained. Ugh. I am full of so much regret!

Its hard because I'm not terribly overweight, so i keep telling myself its okay...but I dont want to stay this size. I really need to lose another 20lbs. Its hard to find the willpower after the first couple weeks go by, and the "high" has worn off. I'm so dissapoined in myself.

One, don't look at the scale. Two, just look forward. A good way to keep yourself from those things is to just not buy them. Remove yourself from the situation. Someone buys pizza? Go out and run an errand. You want a burger? Make the beef meal and don't take routes that drive by fast food places. Don't put the bad stuff into your shopping cart, and get up and leave if someone is trying to get you to eat bad stuff. If you allow yourself to feel panicked or guilty, you're only psychologically sabotaging yourself.

Jenn makes an excellent point, if you find yourself in a situation where you are being tempted then it's better to remove yourself from it altogether if you don't think you can make it. It's important that we recognize our own strengths and weaknesses. You should also use this as a reminder of how important it is that you don't cheat. Just think of how it made you feel and the next time you see that brownie or slice of pizza you may not think it's worth it. You can totally do this! The thing that keeps me going the most is thinking of my new healthier self and while we may have a pretty restricted regimen right now, it won't be forever.

I agree with what everyone has said.

Make sure you're not too hard on yourself - you don't want to be so hard on yourself that you 'medicate' your regret using the wrong foods. Just try to move forward from your slip-up.

Visualize what you might be doing and how you will look when you reach your goal. Tell yourself, this is a short period of time that you have to do this in and it will be shorter if you stick with it 100%! You WANT this, you know you do! YOU CAN DO THIS! Go look at the pictures posted here of the before and after and know YOU CAN DO THIS TOO. How much do you want this?? Then... stay away from the foods that trigger you. Carry a piece of fruit if you are out and think you are going to be tempted. Drink water or diet soda as options to get you through.

JoAnn... listen to your own advice. {duh}
