Hi All,

Well its my second week and I have not deviated but I feel bad for my husband. We usually go out on weekends and now I stay home because I dont want to deviate .My husband who is skinny is forced to eat at home and not enjoy going out. Another problem I have is that I am having a difficulty eating all three meals. During the week with the waiting for five hours and going to school after work and not eating after nine, I dont have any time to eat dinner. On the weekends to make up for being so tired ( does this diet make anyone else tired?) I sleep late and miss breakfast hence only two meals once again.
Any suggestions???

Hi Rayo,

Remember that Dr. Cohen says your food is your medicine. You have to figure out a way so you don't have to miss meals. Can you pack a lunch and take it with you and eat it between school and work? When I have had to eat on the fly, I pack things like celery and cold chicken that I can eat with my fingers. Not exciting but I get my meal in. You can also have meal #1 for your dinner - string cheese is very convenient to take along.

Also, you need to immediately get over the guilt of not going out with your husband. This is your choice, it's not forever, and feeling guilty will come back to bite you. You'll start thinking "oh, just this once" and it will be downhill from there. Perhaps you and he can do things together that don't involve eating out - like a movie or meeting for coffee? If your husband complains, remind him of how hot his wife is going to look after a few weeks of sacrifice.

Thanks for the advice and yes I was thinking, "Just this once..." Thanks for talking me out of that. I think packing cheese would be a good idea for getting in my dinner. Thanks for still motivating us even though you are well on your way to success..
