View Full Version : First 4 weeks completed!!
I just finished my first 4 weeks on the diet. I've lost 15lbs. My goal is to loose 54lbs total. So my question / concern is.....
I have noticed that most everyone looses the MOST weight during the first 4 weeks. IF this is true, I will not meet my goal of loosing a total of 54lbs in 84 days.
What does everyone think? I mean, I'm not quitting or anything, just worried. Money is tight and I don't want to have to pay to extend my diet to loose the 54lbs total and start the re-feed.
I have REALLY stuck to this diet. Any thoughts or suggestions? All I know to do is keep it up, and drink more water.
I guess everyone is clueless on this. lol I am still waiting for their response.

We all lose weight at different rates. I think the older we are the harder it is, as well. I suggest eating more of the fish and chicken choices and staying away from the beef and cheese choices, if possible. Always push the fluids. Consider going without one of the fruit or crackers to see if that helps at all.
You could tell the consultants that you really can't afford to do another 12 weeks and ask if it is possible to get the re-feed before you reach the magic number to receive it. I don't advocate this and I don't want to advise about being dishonest about how much you weigh when you report to the consultants, but you could consider doing that to get your re-feed (forgive me everyone for even suggesting this, but it is certainly one option). You won't lose this forum to receive support, however, you might want to have access to ask the consultants questions while on refeed. You may not get all of your answers from just reading everyone's experiences with it, that you might need. I think it was worth paying the $179 just to have the consultants for refeed. I used them more while I was on refeed than I did the entire time I was on the program. My mother, on the other hand, managed just fine without them.
Thank you for replying! I just need to stay focused and positive. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I'm going to talk to them more. I need to order my follow up blood test but can not do that until at least Wednesday. I thought it was free but Direct Labs are charging me $35 for it. I understand what you are saying, I guess I will just have to wait and see. Who knows how my body will react in the next 12 weeks. I may surprise myself. I have always looked a lot thinner then I actually weighed. (Before I gained this weight) I may be happier at 136 or 146 then at 126 because of that. I have lost a lot of inches so far, and am very happy with my results. Thanks again for your response, I really needed it today.

I highly doubt they would supply you with the refeed program if you were not within their 5 pound mark - that's their rule and I'm sure they hear from people all the time who try to get it before they're really due to receive it.
Money is tight for me too, but I find ways to pay for the diet by being more cost conscious of other things in my life...maybe you can find somewhere you'd be able to save money for awhile...or you could try to start saving now as you go through the remainder of your 12 weeks.
I think I read on the forum somewhere that the refeed program is based on your blood test results at the time so if you were to go on losing more weight on your own, the refeed program might not even work for you.
Good luck, I hope you are able to stick it out to completion.
I DO want to be at my goal weight before re-feeding. Like I said I just may surprise myself. Saving money is harder said then done, especially nowadays. My goal is to do both. I just wanted some feedback, etc.
It will probably be better for me to wait a few extra days before the blood test anyway, b/c I am sick with a horrible cold. They told me it was best to wait to do the blood work IF a client was sick.
Thanks again for your replies.

I know the feeling...I lost 12lbs my first 4 weeks, but can tell I'm going to lose much less the next 4. I plan to add a little exercise to help. Just 30 minutes a day on the treadmill may help get a couple more lbs off and keep me on my goal. I plan to start the re-feeding before ending my 12 weeks, as I can not afford to renew either! Not about "saving" money, it's about just making some at this point!
Good luck & stick to it...you will make it, just stay focused and ignore the plateaus.

I pretty much lost the same every month until the very end, but to lose 54 pounds in 12 weeks is a bit aggressive. It is not just about losing, it is also about going through the process and figuring out how to keep it off. I understand your concern about paying again, but I would definitely start saving and working towards that now. Good luck!!!!

Hi Spin,
I am on week 10 of the diet and I actually lost slightly more during the 2nd four weeks than the first. I guess it really depends on your body. Just stay with it. Based on the results of my friend who recommended the diet for me, both she and I thought I will be done in 12 weeks. But it appears my body needs a longer time (and I have stuck to the program 100%) and that's okay because I am seeing results. :party1:
