Okay - I am being very brave today...like most of you I CRINGE at the thought of photos being posted at my heaviest - but I figure it is the best way for me to stop being in denial that I was 'large' and am on my way to being a sexy mama! I have posted two pictures, one from 2008 at my heaviest and another from early 2009 - both of which even now I am thinking...I should just remove them - but I won't! You know, I have never been bothered by the camera, or so I thought! When I was at my heaviest, I unconsciously must have avoided it (or been behind one) because I had a really hard time coming up with two full body shots...

I also wanted to share with you that it is a funny empowering feeling I get with sharing these with you and I guess that is just another step along the journey. I am holding my breath to see the response/s!

Enjoy!
Rebecca
P.S. - I am having a hard time getting the compression right, so please bear with me.

Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for sharing, its great! Your a beautiful girl! I wish I could find some pictures of myself at 225, but I was alway the photographer- looking at family vacations and stuff you would think my husband was a single father..lol
I am really proud of you posting your pictures, you've turned a corner- accepting who you were and ready for who you are going to become.
I never told anyone what I weighed, ever- now I don't care who knows I was 225, wearing size 18's - no more secrets.
Congratulations on your weight loss, keep up the great work.

Hey REbecca,

It's nice to put a face to the name. Congratulations on your bravery. Like you, I stay away from the camera at all costs so it is hard to find the right kind of picture to post. I am going to wait until my "fancy-smchancy" even in two weeks so that I can have some type of before/after photo (well, during).

Can't wait to see you full success, what a hot-tottie you will be!

Congratulations for facing down a demon, Rebecca. I think we all probably understand the stigma associated with the photo - they don't lie. The worse is when someone is looking at the same picture of you saying "you look good in that picture" when in your heart of hearts you are completely mortified because you only see the fat person. Post more of your progress when you're cmfortable!

You are a very brave woman!

I am like everyone else and hid for years from the camera. My husband also looks like a single dad! UGH!

Congradualtions Rebecca!! That is a HUGE step!! I have a recent photo of myself and 2 friends in Chicago in my living room and am leaving it up as the reminder that I once was that person, but I will never have to be that person ( large marge) again!! Boy won't it be nice to see ourselves in the photos again? I think my kids will be thrilled!! Keep up the goood work ladies!!

Hi All,

I just updated my shots with Week 8 pics. I am in the same jeans as my 'fat' picture if you can believe it - they feel comfortable which is lovely, unlike the Betty Bustabutton picture on the left :D

Enjoy your weekends
Take care
Rebecca

Holy Crap!! What a difference!! I can't believe you are not at goal yet. You look great. Now I am on a mission to see if I have any previous pictures to see the difference in myself with 38 pounds gone too.

You rock!!
