Is anyone else experiencing extremely dry skin. It is winter (but I live in Southern California so you can barely tell...) but my face especially feels like it is shriveling up! I'm thinking it's in part due to the lack of oil and fat in this diet. Anyone else having this trouble? Anyone have any suggestions? I exfoliated with olive oil/sugar combo this morning and left on my face for nearly 1/2 hour. That usually does the trick but my skin still looked dry and horrible all day. :sadeyes: YUCK!!!

Hi Bronwyn,
I have not found that my skin is dry, and I live in a wintry climate. However, I do use a night cream on my face, even during the day.

Hi ya Bronwyn,
I read on another Cohens site someone was taking Omega 3 capsules to aid in the battle of dry skin. Maybe give that a go -as long as its got the green light from Shasha or Wilma?
Cheers

{hi} there Megsy
From the program's perspective, you may take essential fatty acids such as Evening Primrose Oil and Salmon Oil in capsules and no more than one capsule of oil a day no matter the strength. We suggest that you consult with your doctor regarding every medication that you start taking on a regular basis.
:thinking: Good quality creams can do a whole lot to combat dry skin... if you live in a dry climate, you may even benefit from using a humidifier at home :innocent3:

Thank you ladies for the suggestions. I was wondering about the fish oil capsules so may try that. I guess Los Angeles is technically a desert - doesn't feel like with all the palm trees, etc., but the natural terrain (where you can see any) is very much desert. Yes - Been using TONS of moisturizer and cremes and have been running a humidifier PLUS have had a lot of rain recently. Either way, it's worth it to be fitting into smaller clothes and getting compliments on how great I look. I guess nobody's looking at the condition of my skin after all.

:thinking: I've heard it said that in life you get what you expect... :hypnotic:
My best advise: think happy thoughts!!!
In fact, dare to think thoughts that make you {rofl}

oh, shasha!!
if it was always that simple!! :thinking:
i truely xpected only the very best 2 happen during my diet...
it doesnt seem like that at present- as i wrote in the thread about refeed- i've never xpected changes like THAT!
i know it'll bcome better again, but like gail:
i bet she never xpected 2 face the problems she had since refeed...
if it only was that simple in life....:praying:
but the good thing is: i never lose my sense of humor and thaz y things r easier 2 deal with!!

one question regarding the "when":
does it make a differenz when 2 take those tablez?
r they not containing any protein, esp. the samon oil tablez, so that there could an interference with our "prescribed" proteins take place? :thinking:

{hi} there Cyberella
Yes, sure, things happen and we all face challenges, but more often than not, your ATTITUDE will determine your ALTITUDE... So stay positive and stay strong... {boing}
:thinking: About taking the vitamins - please always take them with a meal.
This aids with absorption as well :flirt:

:flower:thank u shasha! :flower:
about the tablez: as we're allowed 2 take only 1 no matter the strenght, isnt it smarter 2 buy such where 1 tablet a day is enough?
or would u suggest that those r 2 much of a dosis 4 the diet? :thinking:

{hi} there Cyberella
Yes, you are spot on, :applause: rather choose a supplement that is a bit stronger and rather have a good quality, even if it may be a bit more expensive.
