Now that I am passed the first 4 weeks, I want to start adding exercise to my life. I walked on the treadmill a couple of days for an hour (burned 300 cal.). I felt great the rest of the night. I felt exhausted the next day. Any suggestions on where people started to add exercise and what type of activity they added.

{hi} there Amylynn
Your success on the 1st Personal Diet Program is not related to exercise.
If however you deviate because the exercise :weights: you are doing stimulates your appetite you will end up loosing weight slower. When you feel very tired, you may be tempted to eat wrong foods and we don't want this.
You may do moderate :party1: exercises providing that the exercise you do does not increase or stimulate your appetite or leave you feeling tired or drained or weak – the big key will be to listen to your body ie: see how you feel and what you are able to manage comfortably.
If you exercise :weights2: on one day and feel exhausted the next day then the exercises were too much for now.
If you do exercise, we recommend that you eat your apple 20 minutes prior to exercising. You may even want to increase your vitamin intake to 2 capsules per day, one in the morning and one with lunch.
We recommend that you increase your exercises again during or after the Refeeding Program when you are having more food intake.
Often times it is better to tackle one project at a time and to do this successfully rather than having too much to do and not being able to give each project the time and energy and respect that it deserves.
Hope this info helps...

Amylynn,
We are totally in sync! I was just discussing with my husband the fact that I'm feeling really good and want to start moving my new body! We've been going on light to moderate (because our kids are with us) bike rides on the weekends and that's been fun. It feels great to move and I'm not really "up-ing" my appetite. It's just fun to get out and move. I was thinking about starting Pilates because it's more a toning and stretching routine that doesn't up your heart rate and doesn't seem to increase my appetite but it works my tummy and thighs (my worst areas).
Sasha - what do you think about pilates for those of us who want to get moving since it doesn't increase the appetite (at least for me)

{hi} there :flower: Grlie
It's almost impossible for me to say what I think could happen or how pilates will affect you...
 It would depend on sooooo many things, how fit you are or were before you started exercising, how fast you have lost weight (very fast progress can result in lower blood pressure), your blood pressure history, how you feel before during and after your exercises, how much OOOmph you put into the exercises and of course how those exercises make you feel the next day...
I'm sorry, but I really can't give you an answer other than saying exercises are a personal thing, meaning that everyone is affected differently. The best be would be to try and see how you do and make your decision to continue based on how the exercises make you feel.
We always recommend that clients first complete their diet program before bringing in too much exercises. No good in putting too much hay on the fork only to have it all topple to the ground.
Bottom line: See how you feel - remember to eat a fruit 20 minutes prior to the time and perhaps to increase your multi-vitamin to having a second one at lunchtime & then listen carefully to what your body tells you is OK :jumping2:
