thats what shasha wrote: >But you may mix your fruits to use in your smoothie with your yogurt: for example you can take 1/2 an orange, with 1/4 kiwi and 1/4 melon - so then your kiwi is 40 gram and your melon is 45 gram. This amounts to the same as one whole fruit.
Pop all the above into your blender with your yogurt allowance and push the button. If your smoothie is a bit thick, you may add some diet sprite soda... Mmmmm!< :P
i'll b trying this as a ice-cream :icecream: and swop the yoghurt with my tofu-allowance, blend and put in ice-cream machine...
we'll see what will happen...:jumping2:

SERVE A DELICIOUS COLD 50/50 :party7:
Round off your tasty salad meal with a tall glass filled with 50% cold Sprite Zero and ½ a can Schweppes Lemon Lite. Add ice and sip through a straw. By using only half of your Schweppes Lemon Lite allowance at a time, means you can enjoy 2 delicious “50/50’s” per day.
TIP: Wonderful for parties and social events – sip slowly and people will never guess you are not having an alcoholic drink! ENJOY!!!

what is Schweppes Lemon Lite and what do you mean allowance? I don't have an allowance for my drinks except to not exceed 32 oz of diet soda.

Hi flwrgrlie
Schweppes Lemon Lite is a lemon taste diet drink that is marketed in several countries worldwide. I think it can be found in the UK, France, Argentina, South Africa and some more.
It is great to meet people from all over the world on this board but sometimes it means that we come across products we do not have locally.

Hi,
Tried a little freshly grated ginger into my sprite last night and really enjoyed it, it really infuses well and you don't need much to give the taste, as long as you don't mind the tiny floating bits if ginger, as I write this I'm wondering if a slice will do the same, will try tonight, isn't this experimenting great.{pot}

Does anyone know if we can have coke zero cherry? I see in my plan that it says regular coke zero, but just wanted to know if anyone knew.

No fruit flavored diet soft drinks except Sprite Zero (diet Sprite) which is lemon/lime. Good try, though!! ;)

Hi Christie,
Welcome to the forums! I haven't heard anything in the forums about coke zero cherry, so I would advice you to ask your consultant and let us know what he/she says.

Hey! I read your post today and I happened to find a product in the spices section of the grocery store called crystallized ginger, which you can grind into a fine powder into your sprite zero... shouldn't have any chunks floating around if you use it :)

Just thinking about the crystallized ginger... isn't one of the ingredients sugar? I thought I remember seeing that when I was looking through the spices. Let me know if you happen to have it.
Thanks,
Michelle

here is a typical recipy for crystallized ginger:
Prep Time: 35 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup peeled, thinly sliced ginger
3 cups water
1 cup sugar
Additional sugar to coat (optional)
this is a big no-no :( sorry...

Last time on this diet, I drank diet coke and diet sprite. I vowed to quit after the diet, since I wasn't a diet soda drinker.
Addiction occurred :drool:and I finally have been able to cut way way back a year later.
Just wondering if anyone out there has done the diet without the assistance of diet drinks and did you feel more deprived?
Did you crave sugary foods less or more because of the diet drinks? I found that I craved them way less due to the soda.
This second time around, though, I don't want to become addicted again and I am concerned that I will start to NEED the variety these drinks provide.
Thanks for your input!

Hi Ms. Crackerhead -
I don't drink soda. Water has been my primary beverage on this diet followed by coffee and tea. I'm drinking a little more coffee than pre-diet but not so much as to cause alarm. I have a countertop Brita thingy in my office and one at home that are always full and my glass is full as soon as I empty it. I drink my water at room temp (was it here I read that cold water burns calories?).
I don't know if there's a corollary between not drinking soda and craving sugary foods... or maybe I'm the wrong person to respond. I really prefer savory to sweet.
Perhaps if you surround yourself with opportunities to drink water, you won't want to drink diet soda.

i got a wok for xmas and it has been incredibly valuable in preparing meals without additional fat. But one thing that i've been craving is the "sauce" that goes with asian foods. I've found that garlic and ginger really help a lot, but also adding some diet coke to the bottom of the wok creates a sweet sauce that's just the right amount of juice to keep the dish interesting

The only place I found is Ebay bu they want an arm and a leg to ship it so it is really not worth it.
