Hi Listmates,
I have been reading this forum since I started 16 weeks ago and was always wondering if some of the things I read would ever happen to me. Well this weekend it did! I was in my living room and my 27 year ld daughter who lives in another state came home for a visit. It had only been a month since she saw me but for a minute she did not recognize me! I also had to go to a family wedding and a cousin did not recognize me! My aunt said I had lost so much weighnt she could not find me(I know, it is just because she loves me but it was fun anyway!):))I also went clothes shopping in my attic and so many things now fit that I have not worn in years. my clothing size has only changed by a size and I had expected more but it will come I think. I am two pounds away from the half way point in my weight loss journey. I hope I can make it to my goal but I already feel like I have stepped away from being on the brink of having some health issues and that feels great!
Hang in there newbies, it does work!

PS it will be me you hear shouting when I get under 200 pounds!:))

Oh, Rose Marie... isn't it great fun? So much joy in people having to take a second look and clothes that fit again - or new ones... it's like a little party going on all the time! (I had given a friend some clothes that didn't fit me anymore, she wasn't wearing them so she gave them back. I buttoned every button on a lovely fitted size 8 blazer - yippee!)

I know exactly what you'll sound like when the scale reads less than 200. It's the best feeling to know you're never going to see that number again.

It's an awesome feeling when people don't even recognize you, isn't it? It will only keep on getting better as you get skinnier. Wait until your underwear start falling off of you! That's hilarious!

Just bask in the glow of your accomplishment. :D

Not only do other people not recognize me, but sometimes when I look in the mirror I wonder who that person is, too!!!!!! LOL
