Hi All,

Well here I am two months post refeed and doing well. After refeed I was down to 110 (goal weight was 110 - 116). I was very worried about my trip home to Australia.

After eating and drinking my way around the country I gained 4lbs. I was very naughty! When I got back to the US I thought as I was within range I would see what would happen when I ate sensibly. I have dropped one pound and will continue doing the same as I am now. Keeping my carbs down, drinking my water, and rarely indulging in the sweets.

By the way... my opinion has not changed... Australia is truly and incredible country... LOVE IT. Will post a tourist picture later.

Will read up on everyones progress.

All the Best
Margaret

{hi} there Margaret

Welcome Home!! :love4:

Yes, indeed, Australia is incredible and we would love to see your pic’s! :rolling2:

Well done on having lost that extra pounds so quickly :flirt: I recommend cutting out starch for two days and seeing what happens.

Yes, we do all need to realize and then remind ourselves that sweets and other treats, however nice they may be, are treats and not really food, the big key is moderation and not too frequently.

Many people wonder what moderation means….

In the Re-feed Guide, Dr Cohen says the following about chocolate: As a rule, do not have milk chocolates more than twice a week. We also recommend that you do not keep chocolates in the house at all. Keeping it for the kids or guests will result in them not getting it . . .

I believe we should apply this information not only to milk chocolate but, milk chocolate/all sweets – simply because all sweets are high in sugar, which triggers too much insulin – unless of course you are thinking about those sugar free options…

Hi Margaret
Yes, agree Australia is a beautiful place, and well done with 1) eating and drinking your way around the country and only gaining 4 pounds and 2) getting stuck into loosing it so quickly and getting back to where you want to be, I'm sure it wont take you long with your determination and motivation.

Just a note that I weighed this morning and have dropped to 112 lb. Following the rules works!
