Hello all,
Just wanted to check in to say Hi!!! Tomorrow is just over 6 months post diet, and I weighed 120.5 today. This diet is amazing. It really works. The best part about it, after you do the amazing diet, loose weight and feel great, you can keep it off! Follow the rules!! it works. Hubby is doing great also.
I hope everyone is doing well.
Blessings,

Hey Mei Mei,
Glad to see you back on here. I'm almost done and had a few questions for you. How's the exercising going? I know you were on here and talking about it. That is the one thing I can't wait for. But I'm afraid life will happen and I won't get around to doing it.

Here's the good news, and the bad news...
We had our Spring Break last week. I di fine for a few days, then...baseball game food, zoo food, ostrich festival food...up four pounds. both hubby and I went back on Sunday, lost two, will let you know what tomorrow looks like. That's the good news--this diet works. If you stray too far from maintenance rules, you can get it back. Just don't ever go too far. I'll let you know what I lost after day two of being good.

Oh, and the other good news, you don't like how it feels when you eat the junk. Your body actually craves good food instead of junk.
I want to keep you posted to give you the good news, and to keep myself accountable...
blessings,
Mary

It's great to read about your success Mary! It makes us all who are still in pre-refeed to keep going! Don't be a stranger and tell us how you are doing.
Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Mary...that is very encouraging!! I totally plan to NEVER be fat again and it's reassuring to know that by keeping track of my weight and going back on plan the minute I get a few pounds over weight that I can live up to my prayer of never being fat again!
You're the best!!!

Hi everyone!
things are good. I was mostly good this week after vacation, and am back down to 120 today. I'm so, so thankful for this diet. Trust it.

Phyllis!!!
YOu look awesome! and more importantly--you always have a wonderful spirit, strength, positive attitude and encourage everyone. Bless you!

things are going well. I ran again the other day, only a mile, but it was so much easier with little weight. I ran faster that before, more easily...if that makes sense. I also lifted weights.
Accountability. I saw a friend whom I used to work out with regularly. She is reserving a spot for me at Monday's barbell class. I need to get muscle tone back. when you are ready to start exercising again, find a friend to do it with you. Helps.

Mary

{hi} there precious Mei Mei

Hope you are enjoying your exercise times :weights: ~ it’s always more fun with a friend… :weights2: or even two… that way, if one of the three (or group) Buddies is ill, both the others still have a good enough reason to show up!!

Hope you don’t mind, but I just moved your thread into the new LIFE AFTER DIET SECTION…

Hope to hear more from you soon!!

:bighug: from me!

Well,
I am finally doing it...Getting back into shape that is. I have found as I am coming up on a year post diet, that I have kept the weight off with some effort. The ups and downs have been pretty small, no more than 7 pounds--vacation. But I really miss exercising. When I'm skinny, I don't feel as compelled, but I want to be healthy and strong and not just thin. It will also be easier to follow the rules generally with a bit of fun added in without the guilt and worry of gaining pounds. three weeks ago I vowed to do something every day. I went to the club, walked, swam, and did accomplish that first week goal. Then we all got the flu, week 2 was a wash, and last week was getting ready for school, so no real exercise.
This week, yeah, I'm doing it. Monday still had one child at home and a bunch of back to school activities...

T. 460 cals with a cardio kickbox weight class. Man, I can barely move. 124.5
W. 450 cals tennis in the 100+ degree Texas heat. 125.5
Th. 420 barbell lifting class. 124.5

the most difficult thing is to not eat too much and find a balance with exercise and diet. I usually stiick very close to diet food and portions all day, evening and late afternoon tend to get me.
I'm keeping you posted to keep me accountable.
I am very sore, but happy to be getting strong.

A year wow - excellent work - you are a real success story.
See you are still into your tennis, I still can't hit the ball, but want to go down and have a bash - must organise a mate to join me.
What do you use to measure cal burn? my treadmill use to give me masses of cals burned with a good effort, but the cross trainer gives me half the amount of cals burn but a heck of alot more effort.
Ditto with the afternoons and evenings, but if I exercise I don't have the desire to have those naughty things that tempt me.
Keep up the great work and awesome to hear from you, and to hear how well you are doing - fantastic.

Sharon,
I got a Polar watch with a heart rate monitor a long time ago. You can swim with it, etc. It keeps your cal count. It is the 2nd up fromthe bottom of the line. It was about 100. here at Target. You can order them on line also. Just make sure you get the one that counts cals. It is a great motivator for me. If I only burn a few cals, I know I need to keep going. I highly recommend getting one. I even use it when I mow the lawn. Makes it feel like double duty. Today I mostly burned calories by cleaning the house. got the downstairs done. Man what a chore! I'm tired, but up late waiting to pick up boys after the football game. (I always made fun of my mom for falling alseep this timeof night...) good to hear from you. Keep up the good work!

Hi Mary,
Thanks for the explanation - the light went on and your entry all makes sence now, the watch is a good idea to give you a target to reach for. Will have a look out, but I have a feeling we will pay quite a bit more over here in NZ, be interesting to see. As you say, a great motivator, pedometers are used a bit here, for the same reason, but I think your watch would potentially be better as it would help realizing how much you have to work to burn off all those snacks or bigger portions we consume and maybe think twice about it.
