Hi, Shasha, Wilma & Secretary! It would be marvelous if we could have our new Tickers (thank you!!!) in our signatures! :D

Any chance of getting the Admin to make it happen?? (I did try before I posted this, but even though it says it allows the code, it doesn't show up.)

Thanks!!

Hello Mrs. Peel

To create your ticker signature:

Click on the link www.1PDForum.com/tickers
Select and insert a PIN you will remember (you can use your forum password if you like).
Choose your ticker design and marker out of our unique designs.
Choose the way you want to present your data:

Track weight (e.g. Started at 180, currently at 160, target at 140)
Track weight changes (e.g. Need to lose 40, lost so far 20)
Track clothing size (e.g. Started at size 16, currently at 8, target at 4)
Insert the numbers and the name or nickname to appear on your ticker.
Create your ticker.
On the screen you will see: Preview of your new ticker, HTML Code, BB Code and your new ticker link which you need to save for future use.
Copy and paste the BB Code at the end of your new post on the forum as your signature.
Save the link in your Favorites

Hi, Secretary!

Thanks for the quick reply - I knew how to paste the ticker code into each post I write, but my question was whether we could be allowed to make the ticker our automatic signature, using the "edit signature" control panel. It says the code is allowed, but here's what happens when you paste your ticker in:

See what I mean? It just shows the link, it doesn't display the ticker as one's signature. It would be great if the Admin would allow this!

Thanks. :embarrassment:

There are two options for embedding your ticker in a page or for your signature - the first option, which is html, is used for blog pages or other html pages.

To add your signature to a forum, you would use the second option, which is bb code and looks like this: [ img ]code here[ /img ]

Simply copy the bb code for your ticker, then click on your control panel and edit signature.

Right in the signature box, paste the bbcode you copied from your ticker and preview your signature. You should now see your ticker displayed as below.

Thanks, Admin! But I did copy and paste the BB code into the "Edit signature" box and you see here how it comes out! I think you are able to do it because of your Admin increased capability.

I have tried with both HTML and BB codes and neither shows up as the ticker graphic, only as code.

?? :hypnotic:

Ok. Let me try this. I copiedthe BB Code right under this line

Then, I went and copied the same BB Code into my signature, using the control panel.

Basically, this worked both ways with the BB Code. The HTML Code can be used for other pages on the Internet such as my space, etc.

Thanks, Wilma - but you see, your ticker only appears in the body of your post, not as your automatic signature. And if you look at my post above, you will see my BB code pasted into my "Edit signature" box does NOT appear as the ticker graphic!!

Believe me, I am doing it right - but it does not show up as a graphic, only as the link to the ticker. :crying:

Here's my ticker pasted into my post:

And below is my ticker pasted into my "Edit signature" box in the control panel:

Oh Mrs. Peel,

Sorry for this. Let me add YOUR BB Code to my signature and this time - and leave it there for a while :)

First I added the BB Code to my signature using the control panel and then I user "Preview Post" to see it. Then, I submited my reply for all of us to see.

Yeah, it does that! It replaces your signature on all your posts from before!

But you see, it works for you moderators, but not for us regular folk. You can see by my posts that it doesn't show up!

Hi There,

I figured I'd get in on this. Yes, I agree with Mrs. Peel that it'd be wonderful if it could work as our signature instead of having to copy and paste into each post. I'm not including it today because I haven't had time. I do LOVE having the ticker and also seeing everyone elses! It's a great idea and a nice addition.

Hello all,

I fixed the signature ticker issue and you may now go to your Control Panel and paste the BB Code for your custom 1PD ticker in it so you get the ticker stamped at the bottom of your posts.

Yaaay!! Thank you, 1PDAdmin! I know a lot of us will use this option. We really appreciate the attention you pay to our goofy requests! :wacky:

Hey All!! I've been trying to cut back my "techno junkie" ways a wee bit and, therefore, haven't been on lately. WOW - I'm amazed at all the newbies!! WELCOME TO ALL!! Also, I'm going to make me a weight loss ticker, I was hoping we would get one of those, I'll have to work on that later as I'm swamped with my work today, but wanted to drop in just in case anybody missed me :)

I'm doing really good, I amaze myself sometimes with the eating, etc. I'm so excited to see how I do on weigh in day, March 2nd, as I can almost tell I think I'm down 2 pant sizes, at that point, I'll have to go out and buy some stuff as I think I threw away all my older stuff a couple of years back thinking I could never lose the weight. LOL

Mrs. Peel, did you have your 8 week weigh in yet? I was curious how you're doing? Oh, and how's your hubby doing? My husband had to go to the doctor the other day, and he stepped on the scale and the nurse looked at him, started to increase the weight on the scale, and he stopped her and said, wait a minute, the other way. . . . she looked at him and said; "You've lost 30+ pounds, what have you done to lose this weight since December?" His doctor was really proud of him as well. Granted now, he's doing his own thing, but sometimes subjected to what I eat just because with three kiddos, it's hard to fix different foods for everyone, but occasionally he'll have things that I can't have, plus he gets on the treadmill a couple of times a week and has cut out sugar and creamer in his coffee for the most part and no sodas and cut way back on starches, etc.

Being at this now myself for 6 weeks has become pretty much routine and I bought a new scale to weigh my food, which has really helped me to make sure I'm more accurate. Hope this finds everyone doing awesome!!!

Til next time - - - :peace:

{hi} there Inger

Of course we MISSED YOU!!! :bighug: BIG TIME!!!

I'm so glad to hear that you are into a routine... and that you are doing well! Can't wait to see your progress!! Time flies when you are having fun and going into smaller clothes all the time!

{congrats} to your hubby for having lost 30 pounds! That is great going!!!

I'd like to recommend you try making the Zucchini Hash Browns... I think everyone in your family can enjoy them. The more diet recipe's you bring into your daily living, the easier it will be for you after the eating plan to continue to make healthy foods!

Don't stay away soooooo looooooong again!!! We miss you TOO MUCH!!! {boing}
